This was always going to be a tight game with falcons lying second and Whitwick in third place in division one and both teams pushing for promotion to the Premier

With both teams being a bit cautious of each other and the referee blowing for the slightest physical contact the game never really got going and both teams only having a couple of good chances in the first half

The second half we slowly started to get on top and put Whitwick under pressure from free-kicks and corners and we were rewarded, with 20 minutes to go when a free-kick on the right found Danny Parkin at the far post who gave their keeper no chance with a well placed header. Whitwick started to push everybody up for the equaliser which left space at the back and we found the net on two more occasions but both were ruled offside Whitwick to their credit fought to the end but could not break down our defence and we were well pleased to hear the final whistle
